Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd ("Bank") announces that, with regard to the public offer of Capital Securities up to the amount ?83.841.000, conducted by virtue of the Prospectus dated 6 June 2008, it has been decided to extend the period for the acceptance of applications until Friday 27th of June, 2008 (instead of Wednesday 25th of June which was applicable before). The decision, for which the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission has been notified, was made so that the interested investors would have time to submit applications. It is noted that, in the cases of payments that will not be cleared until June 30, 2008, the application may be ignored.

It is emphasised that from Thursday 26th of June 2008, the method of payment on the application which quotes "Use of the product resulting from the redemption of the Capital Securities issued in 2003(C.S.E. Code: LGCS) by Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd, which I/we own", will cease to apply.
